First project completed as ODD.
If it’s proof of our skills you’re after, it’s proof you shall have.
This was our most personal project to date, our home in the centre of Servoz village, which we moved into in March.
Built in the early 1900s, this 250 sqm building was once a butcher shop and meat storage facility downstairs and a compact, wood-panelled apartment above.
Every room felt dark, small and disconnected.
Now? It’s the opposite.
The music corner is part of a large open-plan living area.
To get there, we stripped out the attic above and added a roof window for light. This uncovered the original beams you see here, which we kept to honour the building’s history.
We used similar wood tones throughout, but opened everything up to let it breathe.
The black steel staircase snakes up to a new mezzanine floor, leading to the soon-to-be-completed roof terrace.
Whenever we renovate, we aim to balance the building's old character and soul with modern life.
Do you think we nailed it?
